TinkerTags is a wearable computing learning platform that aims to put students of color from low-resourced communities on the path towards further STEM and computing experiences. The platform consists of a tech-enhanced shoe, visual programming environment, and web-based community to support the development of computational thinking skills and interest in computing. Learners program light patterns on the shoe using the visual programming language and can share their "tags" with the world.

MAGIC CARPET

The magic carpet was a educational toy designed specifically for a 4-year-old named Josh. Through interviews, we found that Josh was very much into Disney's Aladdin and role-playing so we thought he would love to have his very own magic carpet complete with an electronic compass system that would teach him about the cardinal directions. The carpet was not the most durable, but he loved it.
